Q. What is the difference between your Cinematic and Documentary wedding movies?
A. My cinematic style is much more dramatic, more artistic, and in my opinion fun to watch. I believe I have a definable style that sets my work apart from others. My goal for a cinematic wedding movie, aside from creatively capturing the feeling and emotion of the day, is to make the movie watchable by all (including people who are not familiar with the couple) without the urge to press the fast-forward button. =o)
My documentary style is considered to be a long-form edit. The focus is on simply capturing the day. The perspective is generally as if the viewer was present. There is few or no dramatic camera shots and any music added is just for background to help set the mood. Consequently, a documentary video runs an average of 90 minutes while a cinematic movie runs 30 minutes on average. But even with a shorter run time a cinematic movie requires many more hours to edit; 60-80 hours vs. the 20 hours to edit a Documentary wedding movie.

Q. Who chooses the music for my video?
A. I always allow my couples to choose the music, or at least help direct me to the proper choices, the music should reflect both the personality of the couple and the mood of the day. However many couples give me free reign on the music choices.
Q. How will my High Definition wedding video be delivered?
A. Your High Definition Wedding Video will be delivered to you on a Blu-Ray Disc. You will also receive the master HD video files on an external hard drive if you choose to purchase the raw footage or if your package includes the raw footage.
Q. Will you use bright lights?
A. Most likely not. Pro-sumer camcorders have come a long way in just the last few years. 3-chip cameras can now see in reasonably low light but they have their limits. When it does merrit additional lighting a 10 or 20 Watt light is used on the camera.
Q. How long before I get my wedding video?
A. The time it takes to edit a wedding video can vary widely because of the uniqueness of every wedding. Turn-around can take up to 1 year, though the average is 10 months.
Q. Why does it take so long to edit?
A. I pride myself on creating unique wedding movies. Because each movie I create is unique to each couple they take more time to edit then if I was to simply edit to a template or out-source my editing. Your wedding movie is something that you will have for the rest of your life. In 10 years when you watch your movie and it brings tears to your eyes and reminds you of all the wonderful emotions you experienced on that special day all the time it took to create your wedding movie will seem more than worth the wait. Trust me, you’ll absolutely love your movie.
